Welcome to St. Paul’s!

Pastor Jennifer Gonsalves was installed on Palm Sunday. Bishop Daniel Beaudoin and our former Pastor, Sarah Schaaf, led the service and installed Pastor Gonsalves. The service can be viewed on Facebook if you missed it. Welcome Pastor Jen! Click here for more information about our new pastor.

Pastor Jennifer Gonsalves
Pastor Jennifer Gonsalves preached her first sermon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on March 21, 2018.

Covid Update – Church Council has decided to sing a verse or two of the final hymn as long as covid infections remain low in Marion County. We are still maintaining social distancing in the sanctuary. Every other pew is blocked off. We are broadcasting to cars in the church parking lot via FM radio and you can attend via Zoom! The Church Service starts at 10:30 AM. Adult Sunday School will start at 8:30 AM on Zoom. Children’s Sunday School starts at 9:30 AM on Zoom. After every Service it is uploaded to Facebook. You can watch the service on St. Paul’s Facebook page.

Communion Update: We have changed our communion practices due to Covid. We are not pouring the wine and distributing the bread as we have in the past. Instead we provide a self-contained package of either wine and communion wafer or grape juice and communion wafer. As you enter the rear of the sanctuary pick up your serving for use later in the service. If you are listening in your car, a deacon will bring the communion choices to you or you can pick one up by the door of the office.

If you would like to provide special music at our worship service please sign the sheet on the Family Board. In the past, Linda and Gary Lovell sang a duet and Kevin Emigh has sung a lovely solo.

Blessing Box… A storage unit has been placed on the side of our existing shed to be used as a blessing box. The premise of the box is to provide non-perishable food items to anyone in need. If you would like to help, just place your donated items in the box. If there is no room in the box, leave the items inside the church. If you have questions, please contact Todd or Penny Ward. “Leave what you can, take what you need, but above all be blessed!”

Blessing Box
The Blessing Box has food items for people in need. If you have extra items to donate, please put them in the box.
Blessing Box
The blessing Box is located on the south side of the shed in the parking lot. If you need some emergency items, please check it out. If you have extra items to donate, please place them in the box.
Blessing Box Food Items
If you need some food items, take what you need. If you have some food items that you wish to donate, put them in the blessing box.

Zoom – Contact Chris Seiter at the Church Office for Zoom connection details. You can attend via computer, smart phone, or phone. Members of the church should have received a letter with the connection information.

The Elders, Jim Wellhausen and Claudia Fetter are providing assistance. If you have a concern, problem, or prayer request, they have a ready ear and are just a phone call away.

Our prayer chain is ready for prayer requests. Again contact the Elders, or Chris Seiter.

Philippians 4:6  “Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

We pray that everyone comes through the present crisis unscathed. Please say some extra prayers and lend a (virtual) helping hand to those around you. While life has been turned upside down, each of us has faced far worse in our personal lives. The only difference now is that we all are facing the same crisis together at the same time. Take this time to study your Bible. Pray! Steady those who are unsteady. Reassure those who are scared. At some point this crisis will be over. God is with us! May God smile on you this and every day! He is holding you in His Hand. The day is getting closer when we will meet together again as we have done in the past and rejoice!

You can get up-to-date information on our congregation from our Facebook page too.
