Confirmation is designed to provide the foundations for an active faith life. The Confirmation Program at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is a three year program that prepares youth for the Rite of Affirmation of Baptism and active membership in the church. Study of Luther’s Small Catechism and the Bible take place as well as opportunities for service and leadership roles in worship.
The goals of the program are to help youth:
- Experience the Faith Community through worship and leadership roles in the church.
- Live a Life of Discipleship through service learning, conversations on faith and culture, and the opportunity to attend the summer youth trip.
- Know and Understand the Faith through biblical study and study of Luther’s Small Catechism.
- Grow in Faith on a Personal Level through summer retreat, statements of faith, and questions of faith in practice.
The Affirmation of Baptism Rite will take place on Reformation Sunday, October 27th. Please keep the youth in your prayers as they continue to grow in faith together.
